How to Unlock Each Dealer
Dealers unlock based on your rank progression, not by selling to a chain of previous dealers. Each dealer appears when you reach the required rank.
| Dealer | Unlock Method | Fastest Path |
|---|---|---|
| Benji Coleman | Complete tutorial, rent motel room | Sell your first batch of OG Kush to street customers |
| Molly Presley | Reach Hoodlum I rank | Sell $500+ total, keep selling |
| Brad Crosby | Reach Hustler I rank | Expand territory, unlock Downtown |
| Jane Lucero | Reach Enforcer I rank | Continue sales volume growth |
| Wei Long | Reach Block Boss I rank | High total sales, multiple products |
| Leo Rivers | Reach Kingpin I rank | Endgame, highest sales threshold |
Once unlocked, you need to pay the buy-in cost to activate each dealer. After that, they appear in your Dealer Management app.
Best Customers for Each Dealer
Assign the RIGHT customers and your dealers will clear inventory fast. Here are the optimal assignments based on community testing.
| Dealer | Best Product Match | Optimal Customers (8 slots) |
|---|---|---|
| Benji Coleman | Weed (OG Kush, Sour Diesel) | Kyle Cooley, Kathy Henderson, Sam Thompson, Peter File, Donna Martin, Peggy Meyers, Ludwig Meyer, Beth Penn |
| Molly Presley | Meth | Kim Delany, George Greene, Jerry Montero, Keith Wagner, Doris Lubbin, Dean Webbster, Trent Sherman, Charles Rowland |
| Brad Crosby | Cocaine | Austin Steiner, Melissa Pritchard, David Chen, Elliot Drake, Fatima Hassan, Raj Patel, Kaitlyn Rose, Victor Ng |
| Jane Lucero | Mixed (Coke + Weed) | Naomi Watts, Frank Castle, Jenna Walsh, Cole Anderson, Sarah Connor, Mike Lowery, Tina Nguyen, Ray Jackson |
| Wei Long | Premium strains | Vincent Tran, Olivia Hart, Marcus Webb, Tanya Brooks, Derek Cho, Amy Sullivan, Luis Garcia, Nina Petrova |
| Leo Rivers | High-margin products only | Chloe Bowers, Beth Penn, Ethan Hunt, Diana Prince, Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff |
The key insight: assign LOW-SPENDING customers to dealers. High-spenders ($200-$500 per visit) should be sold to directly -- the dealer's 20% cut eats too much margin on big purchases. Low-spenders ($20-$80) who buy multiple times daily are perfect for dealers because the volume makes up for the cut.
Unlock Order vs Buy-In Cost
Unlike some guides claim, you don't need to unlock dealers sequentially by selling through a previous one. Your rank determines what's available.
| Your Rank | Dealers Available | Cumulative Buy-In Needed |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh Start | Benji Coleman ($500) | $500 |
| Hoodlum I | + Molly Presley ($1,000) | $1,500 |
| Hustler I | + Brad Crosby ($2,000) | $3,500 |
| Enforcer I | + Jane Lucero ($3,000) | $6,500 |
| Block Boss I | + Wei Long ($4,000) | $10,500 |
| Kingpin I | + Leo Rivers ($5,000) | $15,500 |
Customer Assignment Strategy
Each dealer can serve up to 10 customers (since v0.4.3; 8 previously). Assigning the right customer types is more important than total count.
| Priority | Customer Type | Spend Per Visit | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 (give to dealer) | Low spender | $20-$80 | High frequency, multiple buys per day |
| 2 (give to dealer) | Bulk buyer | $500+ weekly | Clears dealer inventory fast |
| 3 (sell direct) | Medium spender | $80-$200 | Daily income, keep margin |
| 4 (sell direct) | High spender | $200-$500 | Biggest margin, sell direct |
The 60/40 rule: Fill 60% of dealer slots with low-spenders + bulk buyers, and 40% with medium-spenders. Keep all high-spenders for yourself. A dealer with 8 active customers can generate $800-$1,500 per in-game day.
Dealer Management Tips
Inventory check: Open your Dealer Management app every in-game day. If a dealer has held the same product for 2+ days, reassign customers or swap their product. Stale inventory = lost money.
Geographic efficiency: Assign customers near each dealer's location. A dealer in Northtown with Downtown customers wastes travel time. Match customers by district for faster sales cycles.
Product specialization: Each dealer sells slightly faster with their matched product (listed in the table above). Don't switch products unless the dealer is clearly underperforming.
Passive income scaling:
- 1 dealer active: ~$800-$1,200/day
- 3 dealers active: ~$3,000-$5,000/day
- All 6 dealers active: ~$8,000-$15,000/day (with v0.4.3 10-customer cap)
When to Stop Using Dealers
Dealers are optimal for mid-game passive income. Two scenarios where direct sales beat dealers:
- High-margin products: Premium cocaine or meth mixes sell for $500-$800 per unit. The dealer's 20% cut loses you $100-$160 per unit on these. Sell high-end products directly.
- Post-automation: Once your Barn/Warehouse is fully automated, production outpaces what 6 dealers can move. Use dealers only for overflow inventory at this stage.
