Casino Blackjack and Ride the Bus: Fastest Money Multiplier
Casino Games Compared
The casino at the north end of the map has three gambling games. Here is how they stack up:
| Game | Min Bet | Max Bet | House Edge | Best For | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Red or Black | $10 | $500 | ~2.7% (1/37 zero) | Quick small wins | Low |
| Higher or Lower | $10 | $1,000 | Varies by round | Streak betting | Medium |
| Blackjack | $25 | $2,500 | ~0.5% (perfect play) | Strategic players | Medium |
| Ride the Bus | $10 | $1,000 | -25% (player edge) | Money multiplication | Medium-High |
| Slots | $5 | $100 | ~5-10% | Fun, jackpot chance | Low |
Ride the Bus has the best expected value in the game (+25% per hand based on community testing). The key is the multi-round structure: three correct guesses in a row payout 8x your bet. With save-scumming (save before gambling, reload after loss), you cannot lose money long-term.
Ride the Bus: Optimal Strategy
How it works: A card is drawn face-up. You guess whether the next card will be higher or lower. Three correct guesses in a row = 8x payout.
| Round | Action | Win Probability | Payout | Optimal Bet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Round 1 | Guess if card is Red or Black | 50% | 2x | 10% of bankroll |
| Round 2 | If previous card was 8 or below, guess Higher | ~70% | 2x | Same bet |
| Round 3 | If two cards are close (gap 鈮?3), skip. If gap > 3, guess | ~60-75% | 2x (total 8x) | Same bet |
Pro tip: Cards 2-6: guess Higher. Cards 7-9: guess Higher but carefully. Cards 10-Ace: guess Lower. If the last card was the same value as a previous card, the gap analysis shifts -- factor in duplicates when calculating odds.
Blackjack Strategy (When You Prefer the Table)
If you prefer Blackjack, use basic strategy for the best odds:
| Your Hand | Dealer Shows 2-6 | Dealer Shows 7-Ace |
|---|---|---|
| Hard 8 or less | Hit | Hit |
| Hard 9 | Double if allowed, else Hit | Hit |
| Hard 10 | Double (higher chance vs low dealer) | Hit |
| Hard 11 | Double | Double |
| Hard 12-16 | Stand | Hit |
| Hard 17+ | Stand | Stand |
| Soft 13-16 | Hit | Hit |
| Soft 17 | Double if allowed, else Hit | Hit |
| Soft 18 | Stand vs dealer 2-6, Hit vs dealer 9-Ace | Stand vs dealer 7-8 |
| Soft 19+ | Stand | Stand |
| Pair of Aces or 8s | Split | Split |
| Pair of 10s | Stand | Stand |
Save-Scumming: Guaranteed Profit
Before leaving for the casino, save your game at your property. This creates a checkpoint you can return to if you lose everything.
The casino is open from 4PM to 5AM in-game. Go with $1,000-$2,000 starting cash. Play Ride the Bus with the strategy above. Bet conservatively first 10 rounds to gauge your luck.
If you turn $1,000 into $5,000+ or hit an 8x payout, immediately go home and save. This locks your profit. Go back to the casino with your new, larger bankroll.
If you lose too much or bust, quit to menu and reload your save. You are back at your property with your money intact. This is why saving before each casino trip is critical -- it eliminates all financial risk.
Once you hit $20K-$30K, stop gambling. Use that money to buy the Barn ($25K) and set up automation. Casino money is fast but unreliable per-round -- use it as a springboard, not your main income.
Casino Location and Access
The casino is located north of the main town, near the highway overpass. It operates between 4PM and 5AM in-game. No entry fee or rank requirement -- any player can walk in and gamble immediately.
The casino was significantly nerfed in earlier patches. As of v0.4.5, save-scumming still works but the minigames have been adjusted to be slightly tighter. Ride the Bus remains the most profitable game per unit time.
